STYLE SHOOTS
MAKE-BELIEVE – words that summarized my entire childhood. Dress up, acting and (of course) including the most extreme drama to present my vision. Either outside in the woods or in my bedroom on a rainy day, great things were happening. Even the cat participated against his own will. My mother never heard a peep out of me. She always told me I was busy. Busy somewhere doing something – all the time. The average child constantly complains there is nothing to do, I spent little time experiencing boredom. I would tell my friends ‘imagination is everywhere, just use yours.”
One of my favorite parts of designing The Connecticut Bride and Connecticut Magazine are the photoshoots. Orchestrating, directing, styling, acting. Seeking out the perfect mix of vendors to tell great stories with me for our readers. I have my ideas, and yes, they must be entertained. But what I enjoy more is how every vendor I include brings a twist to how the final piece plays out. The point being, everyone has a talent and everyone’s talent is different which when combined creates a unique story I love to share with our readers.
