GARDEN VARIETY
HOW MANY GREEN THUMBS DO YOU HAVE? I know I have at least one, I could have two if my plants would just grow the way they should. If something wilts, so do I. I take it all personally. I have to know exactly what it is before I pluck it. This results in my extensive knowledge of weeds. Come hell or high water – my plants will thrive. And so they have. I spend most of my summers trying to grow everything and anything. From grapevines to strawberries – it’s a jungle here. Fruit trees, eggplants, tomatoes, squirrels and those damned chipmunks. They are so tiny and cute, until they eat all my fruit, or leave a little bit to tell me they came by. So then I spray. Fox urine. My secret weapon dividing friend and foe. The better way to peace for all who visit.

How does he see me? I became enlightened.

O, the red rose is a falcon,
And the white rose is a dove.
