RECOMMENDATIONS

OVER MY CAREER(S) I have had the pleasure of working with some amazing professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds. I am honored to have such a talented network of professionals I call team players. Here are some of those key players and their reflections on individual projects or as my superiors.

INDUSTRY: Weddings
“Alyson … what can we say about her?
I’ve known her for almost 40 years, ever since she was in my wife’s fourth-grade class at John Pettibone School in New Milford. She worked for our business for several years, displaying creativity and ingenuity as she honed her skills in graphic design; she took basic concepts and, with little direct supervision, developed professional products. We have watched her grow and mature as she developed awesome professional and life skills.
But that’s just the mechanics.
There just aren’t enough positive, descriptive words for her – creative, positive, upbeat, dedicated, personable, enthusiastic. Couple this with a dynamic, demonstrable leadership attitude and you have a well-rounded asset to any organization.
She communicates easily and effectively in any medium, from oral to written to photography to design.
In a few words, she is a delight to be with and we are honored to call her a colleague.”

INDUSTRY: Weddings
“Storyteller” seems but such too simple a word for the gift Alyson has. She sees things that the every day person passes by in a hurry. Her vision not only makes you think, but makes you feel a various array of emotions. She is extremely talented and shares the beauty, in all forms, with you. I look forward to feeling her next image or passage in every post she shares. Please continue sharing the beauty you see within, Alyson. And, thank you for the gift you share with us.

INDUSTRY: Newspapers, Connecticut Special Olympics
What a joy and privilege it is to work with Alyson – a true professional whose work ethic and outstanding talent ensure that every project she undertakes captivates, delights, informs and exceeds expectations! Alyson has a special way of telling stories through her art or igniting a feeling in a most compelling and beautiful way through her designs and creative expressions. For the last several years, Alyson has designed a special section for the New Haven Register and Hearst publications (starting 2018) that features Special Olympics athletes and activities that take place during the organization’s Summer Games weekend – a major sports competition for individuals of all abilities from around the state. The special section, which began as a weekend guide, has evolved to become a overview of Special Olympics Connecticut’s myriad of programs and services, making it invaluable marketing piece for the organization that can be shared year-round. Alyson’s flexibility, reliability, attention to detail and, most of all, her kindness and care for the work she does make her an inspiration and highly respected designer, innovator and leader!

INDUSTRY: Newspapers
Alyson is an outstanding, creative designer and one of the hardest working people I’ve known in more than 30 years in the media business. She embraces and thrives on challenges. I always relied on her as a “go-to” person when something needed to get done well. Beyond her talents, what has always impressed me the most about Alyson is her thirst to learn new skills. She consistently finds new and innovative ways to do the job better, to adapt to a changing industry, to keep growing professionally.

INDUSTRY: Newspapers, Corporate Redesign Team
Alyson is the consummate professional — she has very high standards, she has total commitment to getting the job done, and thus she always gets it done right.
If there’s something new, Alyson is always eager to learn about it and master it.
If there’s work to be done, Alyson can always be counted on.
I have always been able to count on Alyson to handle any assignment with the knowledge that it will be done, right and on time. Further, I always know that, in the rare instance where any future support is needed, she’ll handle it and I may not even be aware of it until it’s taken care of.Alyson’s design work is stellar – her aesthetics are just great, with an appealing use of space and color, and appropriate to the content. Her production work is the same. She knows how to apply her extensive skill-set to the environment, and always makes it all work.

INDUSTRY: Weddings
Alyson was a young teenager when she started at the Association and I watched as she grew personally and professionally into a very talented, competent and responsible employee.
She is dependable and we frequently benefited from her expertise in freshening and updating our flyers and advertisements.
We loved her designs and would recommend her work to anyone.
Alyson, we are proud of all the great things you have accomplished in your life and wish you the best always!
