NOVEMBER 2015 CAME, a long month I will never forget. Some office adjustments were made, off-hour phone calls, conversations behind closed doors. I walked into those meetings a newspaper feature designer with special projects filling my plate, I walked out adding Connecticut Magazine and The Connecticut Bride on top. Over time, like all newsrooms, content duties shifted and some projects were lost. But, my journey always seems to change. I embraced the magazines and let newsprint go. Except for the smell of the ink and occasional vision request on a project. (The magazines have a different smell, but it’s still ink!)

Hearst Connecticut Media, my current employer. I remember the day the Hearst acquisition team came in. I knew the drill. I have survived 5 now. Each new set of owners has brought me new projects and new opportunities. As intense as I remember those days, the Gods were looking favorably upon me. My journey as a magazine designer has added the polish to my career. Increasing my level of professionalism, fine tuning my creative eye and personally growing as I enjoy meeting and working with others in the communities.

With no further ado, and in no random order, I hope you enjoy my journey of words and visuals through simple layouts and more complex projects.
